Become a Member

Membership is open to individuals with a professional interest or qualifications in fire investigation who wish to expand their knowledge and share experiences with others. A range of membership categories are available.

Current members represent a broad cross-section of sectors, including CFA and FRV fire investigators, career and volunteer firefighters, retired firefighters, Victoria Police, insurance investigators, energy industry incident investigators, Tasmanian Fire Service, New Zealand Police, colleagues from South-East Asia and the Pacific Islands, and allied fields.

Members benefit from regular training days featuring guest speakers who provide engaging and informative presentations. VAFI also offers opportunities to connect with others in associated fields in a social setting, helping to build stronger communication and understanding when working together at incident scenes.
